HOPE Homes

The development of the HOPE Homes pilot projects is an outcome of a Pasifika design-led research programme funded by Building Better Homes, Towns and Cities and has the potential to influence housing developments across Aotearoa for Pasifika families and communities.

Grounded in the principles of the ‘Maumoana Design Framework’, HOPE Homes is an innovative response to the shortcomings of mainstream housing developments and typologies as identified by Pasifika community representatives and organisations. The prototype development is located in Maangere, and in the process of Consenting.
